First-launch on macOS

The beta isn't notarized with Apple yet, so Gatekeeper will say "Acetate is damaged and can't be opened." Strip the quarantine flag once:

xattr -cr /Applications/Acetate.app

Then double-click normally. You only do this once per install. A signed build lands before v1.0 - this step goes away then.

Windows x64

Coming soon.

Check back in a few days, or follow @youngmuzak for the ping when the .exe lands.

What happens after you install

  1. 01

    Master your first track

Drop a WAV/FLAC/AIFF. Acetate analyzes the genre, sketches a chain, renders the master. A/B preview before export.

  2. 02

    Tell us what you heard

After your first export, a short form: genre, what worked, what didn't. The form is mandatory - public beta is here to gather material to tune the next build, not to be a free service.

  3. 03

Decide if it's worth $63 at launch

After your first master, further exports need a license. v1.0 is one-time $63, lifetime. Get on the launch list for the early-bird code.

Audio processing runs locally - no upload, no telemetry, no account required to install.
